Rebranding DNN

Click here to change the theme.

If you create an empty DNN site then it will be obvious that you are using DNN. That might be just fine for you. If however you want to remove evidence that you are using DNN then you can do that, at least to the extent that most people won't know you are using DNN. Note that this is probably not a complete list but it will at least help. One more thing to look at is the "Online Help" page.

The name of the home page should be changed, from “Getting Started” to something such as “Home”.

Admin

In "Site Settings":

  • In the “Basic Settings” tab:
    • In “Site Details” modify the Title, Description and Copyright.
    • In “Appearance” modify the Logo, Body Background and Favicon.ico. The logo file should be about 280 wide by 80 high.
  • In the “Stylesheet Editor” tab (to remove the globe) add:
    #footer {
    	background: url('images/body_bg.png');
    }

Host

In "Host Settings":

    • In “Host Details” modify Host Title, Host URL and Host Email.
    • In "Appearance" disable "Show Copyright Credits".
  • In the “Advance Settings” tab configure the SMTP Server Settings.
